Legacy Dental Group announced the winner of the Fifth-Annual Legacy $5,000 Scholarship was Kelsey Neystel.

Legacy Dental Group announced today the awarding of the Fifth-Annual Legacy $5,000 Scholarship to Canton High School senior, Kelsey Neystel. The announcement was made at a special ceremony at the Legacy Dental Group center and office.

The ceremony began with Dr. Ben Bratcher explaining why Legacy started this program. “We have so much passion for continuing education, and we obviously have a strong passion for the health professional field. But something else that’s important to us is investing in the future of our community.”

Dr. Glenn Stern explained the process the group goes through to select the right candidate for this prestigious award. “We each go through all applications and try to hone in on the one we feel has the strongest skill set for the medical field. Many of this year’s candidates were qualified and will go on to be successful students and doctors. But Kelsey was the favorite candidate.”

Dr. Gerard Macy congratulated the senior. “We know Kelsey will be successful wherever she decides to start her career. But our hope is she’ll come back here to Canton.”

Attendees included Neystel’s parents, Canton High School principal Joe Nicks, school board member Kym Phillips, and Drs. Bratcher, Macy, and Stern.
